It needed bragging. We’ve been working with MiniMeow on his animals and sounds, and he REFUSED to learn more than a doggy, kitty, monkey, and the sounds that the first two made. And then suddenly, he had it!
Part of the description on this video is pretty darn accurate:
A music video to watch while you skip church this Sunday.
And low and behold… I’m skipping church. But seriously… the Jesus in this video can visit any time! ((Oh my… I’m going to hell for saying that, but take a look at him!!))
We’re fully moved in! It was a bit bumpy, but we’re all in now! The living room is mostly unpacked… MiniMeow’s room is all set up as well. The kitchen is somewhat of a disaster zone, but definitely a work in progress. Our bedroom, however, looks like a moving company exploded. Eventually, we’ll get it worked out, but we’re really more concerned about getting the main living areas cleaned up.
There’s a little Texaco just down the road–about a block away–that’s very cute. It’s owned by what appears to be a little Indian family, and they’re very nice. Much less creepy than the ones that owned the truck wash down the road from our last place. And what’s more is that there’s a little Mexican-type restaurant in there. Not as much a restaurant so much as just a cooking area with some of the best Mexican I’ve had in the area! Burritos the size of big books, and tacos to die for! Amazing! Ever in the Coeur d’ Alene area? Check it out!
The job isn’t too bad. Definitely working with some unique customers, but overall, it’s fairly enjoyable, and goes by quickly. It brings money into the house, so I can’t complain!
It looks as though, now, that MisterMeow won’t be leaving for Indianapolis in two weeks, after all. Which is wonderful. I was getting quite worked up about him going, and NOT ready to be that lonely without my husband! We’re not sure if there are going to be any real repercussions to that end, but we’ll find out. He’s at a meeting with the guy right now.
Couch-crasher is being evicted. He’s got until Thursday to leave. We had a real out-and-out row last night. Everything was okay, I was slightly irritated about one thing, and he just kept pushing my buttons, and I ended up FREAKING out at him. Almost two hours of me coming absolutely unglued. I haven’t been that angry in SUCH a long time. Years. Our argument consisted mostly of him talking in circles and crying, and me verbally ripping his head off (and trying not to do so physically as well). We caught him in WAY too many lies and we’ve been too patient for too long. To the point that we’re now being taken advantage of. He left for a little while, when I finally just refused to talk to him anymore. He kept trying to talk, and I just told him to shut the hell up. I was working on packing, and just told him that I had more relevant things, more pertinent and applicable things going on in my life right now, that it didn’t matter. I didn’t care.
MisterMeow came home to discover the fight, and after I finally locked myself in our room, he went out and said to the guy that he had to get his things and leave. He’s got until Thursday to find somewhere to go. From what I’ve gathered, he plans to go back to San Diego, and hopefully in the next day or so. We’ll see how that turns out.
So, lots of stuff going on, but in the end, the basic gist stays the same. We’re moving in a week, I still have to work, and we still have things to do. We don’t have time for any BS.
I’m so proud of myself and MisterMeow!! For only knowing for less than a week that we’re moving, and having a mere 11 days until we sign the lease (and 13 days until the major move), we’ve gotten a lot done! I put together a to do list of things that need to be done before/during the move:
◦ call Time Warner about move and schedule setup at new house
◦ get boxes from my MIL
◦ get more boxes from other places - I have some, but still need more.
◦ call bishop about moving records
◦ fill out change of address form for Post Office
◦ file taxes
◦ change address with the bank
◦ call Alyssa about $100 they owe me
◦ update address with Netflix
◦ pay rent for Idahline
◦ get laundry done
◦ pick out a few outfits to last until the move
◦ take misc clothes to Goodwill
◦ pack up infant/baby clothes
◦ sort out storage
◦ take misc food for donation
◦ sort through MiniMeow’s toys & pack baby things
◦ sign MiniMeow up for a daycare
◦ get money from Joel
And as far as getting things packed, we’ve made some good progress! I’ve got my baking things packed, the scads of pastas, bulk spices, food storage, wall decorations, all the books, my nightstand/dresser (not the clothes, but the other misc items)… so much progress made! (Not bad for only six days notice, huh? And I start my new job tomorrow morning! w00t. I am one productive mama! ((This is where you agree with me, haha.))
